Created during the Covid year of 2020, the original choreography of ABHIPSAA has been created to original & re-imagined music scores, composed by Indian National Award winning artists, Srinibas Satapathy (Flutist –  Orissa, India) & Bindhumalini Narayanaswamy (Vocalist – Bangalore, India).

Duke Performances at Duke University, North Carolina, and Baryshnikov Arts Center, New York, are the lead commissioners of ABHIPSAA.

Additional support for Abhipsaa was made possible by the New England Foundation for the Arts’ National Dance Project, with lead funding from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
